Commercial art has continually expanded across all forms of advertising in print and digital media. “Old school” ads, once tediously hand drawn and hand-lettered, eventually evolved into descriptive and often glamourized representations of life and all that life has to offer, inevitably building a multi-million dollar advertising industry.
For all practical purposes, most marketing formats for print and digital distribution are designed to meet the needs of customer engagement, often bringing attention to the message, product, or service and will appear in print products too numerous to list, but usually include flyers, sales sheets, posters, display ads, and so on.
